Initially planned in Brazil, the GP n. 16 of the motocross world championship season 2015 was held on the circuit "Tazio Nuvolari" in Mantova. On a summer weekend, but not characterized by the torrid heat of the last week, only the two classes that are preparing to give the world championships titles on the hands of the best riders, was allowed to race. The Slovenian have to recover only four points in the next six rounds to win the world title in the category. Close to the podium, fourth overall, he finished the race Benoit Paturel (Kemea Yamaha Yamalube). The Frenchman was followed by Valentin Guillod (Standing Construct Yamaha Yamalube) that because of some mistakes in the race has lost score against the overall lead and will have to fight to stay in the race for the world title. In MXGP, only mathematics separates Romain Febvre from winning the world championship of the highest category. The rider of Team Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube won both heats and with the points conquered he brought to "101" his lead in the overall standings. The French man simply do not lose points from his pursuer, in the next race, and will win the title two races before the end of championship. Behind him the teammate Jeremy Van Horebeek (Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube) followed by Evgeny Bobryshev (Honda HRC) who took third place in the ranking of the day. Fifth overall, Gautier Paulin (Honda HRC) which firmly occupies the second position in the championship when missing three races to go.
The world championship motocross moves directly in Holland, in Assen, where, during the weekend of august 29 - 30 will be held the sixteenth GP of the season.
